I’m recapping my goals from the month and sharing random happenings from the week so far... and prepare yourself- because there is a lot more writing today than usual!!
January has been a busy month and overall- I’m ok with where I am. You can’t win it all, right…!?
My attendance at office meetings were somewhat of fail. One was cancelled due to snow, I had to leave one early, and was a no show at one. In other words- our meetings prove to be a small challenge due to Sophia being home with me on office meeting days. I receive a recap via email- but its not the same as being present and I need to work on this.
I attended an online seminar- not going to say it was a total loss- while free to “attend” in my jammies at home, it wasn’t the most informative either. I love real estate and always happy to hear other people’s points of view and their thoughts on their local markets- but I think for next month- my goal will be to choose a worthwhile seminar that isn’t so…. boring:)
I also became a member of the Greater Louisville Chapter of the Women’s Council of Realtors– I’m excited about this! The women get together monthly and plan fun things to do with the community- a great way to enhance my knowledge, meet new people and give back- a win win all around..
As far as barre fitness classes- I have loved attending B.You more than I ever thought I would- I feel stronger than I have in a long time and I’ve met some fun ladies too. Not to mention- the cute outfits- on days I work from home- I’m in barre outfits all day. I loooooooove wearing barre clothes… #sorrycreditcardbill
The early a.m. wake up calls are not as difficult as I thought and it feels so great to have a workout done and be home by the time Jason is waking the girls up for school.
I read the following books:
… both great reads. I was not expecting the plot of Don’t Go to turn out the way it did- it was soooo good. It was like peeling back layers of an onion- lies, mystery, death, love, addiction, family secrets and heartbreak- and so much more. This is one of those books that will stay with you- it tugged on my emotions and I’m pretty sure I cried several times before it was over. Highly recommend this book!
The Compound Effect was a gift from my Peak Producers program- but I wouldn’t say its just a business book- it’s very matter of fact and based on the principle that your daily (seemingly small) decisions decide your destiny- and keeps it realistic too. This book stresses the power of consistency in your routine and how it’s the ultimate key to success. It forced me to take a good hard look at how I spend some of my free time… Overall- I loved it!!
I’m not going to say not getting clients not getting into their homes was a loss- we still have several moving parts and the silver lining might be getting their things in and settled without so much snow around:)
New Years Card is checked off the list 😉
