(Please Note- this post was written back on March 31- but since I forgot all about this “Let’s Talk Link Up Party with Erika and Andrea, I thought I would go back through and add the link back image and call it a day! (This is actually part one- my other post is favorite make up products that I’ll link to next.
I can’t wait to read all the others- beauty products and tips are just a few of my favorite things:))
It’s a rainy and gloomy kind of morning and thought it would be a good day to talk skincare. I have loved beauty products for as long as I can remember and looovveee reading about others skincare routines and favorite products! I was the girl in high school and college that used to hoard all kinds of products- and have them on out on display on my dressers, sinks, etc..
**I’m also doing my usual link ups with other fabulous bloggers- check them all out here!
Little side note: with all of the news about “chemicals” being in our products- I am open to discovering new products sans chemicals- but still need to do a little research on that. Please lmk if you use chemical free products- and what you use!! 🙂 Unfortunately, with the exception of Lush products, most of what I know and love probably has a fair amount of harmful chemicals.. ugh..
|Mornin!! Nothing like an up close awkward bathroom selfie while I chat about skincare to start the day…|
I also love using Estee Lauder’s Perfectly Clean cleanser– it came in a free gift and also smells so so good- I also use this to clean my foundation brush. In all honesty, I think the Estee Lauder probably cleans more thoroughly than the Purpose- but it’s pricey for a cleanser and I use on those days I wear more makeup/waterproof mascara, etc.
Pssst- I briefly discussed the following products in a previous “Friday Favorites” post- read it here.
I wear Lancome Absolue Night Premium and Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair Eye and recovery complex at bedtime. I love this little combo- my skin feels so smooth when I wake up:)
In the morning, after washing my face, I apply Estee Lauder’s Advanced Night Repair Eye Serum and either Estee Lauder Daywear or Revitalizing Supreme Anti-Aging Creme during the day. I’ll use the Daywear when I know I’ll be in the sun- it has SPF 15 and smells so good- it’s a cucumber scent and I normally don’t even like cucumber smelling things. 🙂 The anti aging cream is more of a gel-like and extremely moisturizing. Every now and then I’ll wear them together..
During the winter months, if my skin feels extra dry, I’ll switch things up and use Benefit Total Moisture Facial Creme and It’s Potent Eye Cream. I love those products but they are heavy and a little goes a long way!
So, there you have it. My little skincare routine. I’ve linked to all the products I wrote about- feel free to click and learn more on the product websites. I want to hear yours- comment below and do tell!
I‘m also thinking about incorporating my Young Living oils into my skincare routine- but I’m still in the beginner stage of learning how to properly use EO. I’ve heard many great benefits to using EO topically- and I need to research!!
Thanks for reading today, see you back here tomorrow for my Friday Favorites! Xo
