So lately, we have had these random little health things happen in our family.. (nothing serious- don’t mean to sound dramatic) This morning, I am off to the dermo for a first time consultation over an issue with my hair and scalp (is that what its called!?) with a new dermatologist. I suppose I’ll admit that this marks the first time I’ve paid a visit (quite literally) to a dermatologist in a VERY long time. I realize that I’m not getting any younger and I’m really trying to be more proactive about caring for my health. I had blood work done earlier this week and immediately following, I headed straight to Whole Foods and picked up supplements for myself and family.
That being said, I’ve also gotten back into using my Young Living Oils that have been sooooooo beneficial. I diffuse them, I’ll mix them with coconut oil and apply them to my skin, I keep the Stress Away oil in my purse and breathe it in daily, and I’ll put a few drops into my bathtub every once in a while. Jason has a bad cough and I diffused the RC blend in our bedroom last night and I swear it helped him sleep. I’ve blogged about Young Living oils before, and this week, they are back up on my list of favorites.
Without further ado, I’ve gathered up a list of a few favorites from the week, and I bet you can guess this one…
My YL oils 🙂 My cousin is a distributor and is a WEALTH of knowledge when it comes to this stuff. I’ll randomly text her about what oil to use with what ailment, and she’s just so helpful. Check out Meghan here. 🙂 I’ve been tossing around the idea of doing the Whole 30 diet, but I’m just apprehensive with the Holidays around the corner. The Whole 30 has been on my mind for some time now- I’ll let you know when I finally bite the bullet and go all in. If any of you have done the Whole 30, please, please, please share your experience! Not gonna lie… 30 days without a libation seems rough..
My friend Ashley posted this to her Instagram yesterday. I met Ashley several years ago when I joined a single moms group and it just so happens that her daughter and Jinger are the same age and went to the same school for a year together. Anyhow, love her and love this little saying she posted. I felt convicted to take a look at how I conduct myself and it just “spoke” to me 🙂 Here’s to hoping you feel inspired too.
The girls had Thanksgiving lunch at school yesterday and we spent the better half of the afternoon eating lots of turkey, checking out the Book Fair and adding spirit wear to our Christmas wish lists. I never knew how much I would love spending time with the girls at their school. Thankful for these happy, smiling faces 🙂
Aren’t they cute!?
Well, I’ve always been a loyal fan on NYC’s quick dry top coat, and when I went to purchase from Target, they were all out. BOO. I love that stuff because its cheap and dries super fast and makes your nail polish look like gel. So, I picked up this Essie top coat that costs 10x as much (literally) but ohhh I was missing out. You get what you pay for here- its awesome. I’m sure I’m the last person to try it out but if you’re willing to spend a little more on clear top coat nail polish- its worth it.
I mentioned this ahhhhhmmmaaaaazing kit yesterday. All you Advanced Night Repair fans… (and if you’re not a fan… you should give it a try) a full sized bottle is in this kit and the kit costs the same as the night repair alone. It’s $62 with any purchase and I usually don’t buy kits of this size because I’m always afraid I won’t like some of the products or they won’t be a good color for me or whatever.. but every single product is awesome. Of the many kits that are out during the holidays.. this is my favorite.
That’s a wrap for today, friends. Thanks for reading HB today- cheers to Friday!!! TGIF! Have a wonderful weekend and I’ll see you next week! XO
