It feels great to be typing with the girls sleeping in and Summer here. My most favorite season 🙂
Anywho, I’m linking up with several other bloggers for What’s Up Wednesday- where we share a bit on what’s happening in our lives. Here are the questions….
… here we go!
What we’re eating:
We’ve been eating out more than usual- I’m not sure why?? No complaints here 🙂 Otherwise- hot dogs and burgers on the grill, salads, fresh fruits etc.
Yesterday, I made a big bowl of tuna for lunch…
My girls helping me in the kitchen.
What I’m loving:
Here’s a little backstory. About a year or so ago, my cousin (Meghan) introduced me to essential oils. I knew basically nothing about them except for how passionate she was about them. I remember thinking that they seemed more of a luxury item then necessity but the whole idea of using oils for a variety of reasons intrigued me. I’ve always loved psychology and Meghan told me that people love their oils for emotional support- so with that, I suppose my oil journey began. I ordered a Young Living starter kit and slowly researched and used a few oils here and there but admit tingly never took the time to use them regularly or consistently (which is recommended). Long story short, there were several times where I pulled out my oils for different reasons and literally couldn’t believe the change I was noticing, not only within myself but with my girls and family too. The emotional support has been AMAZING.
I’m no expert on this subject so I’m only speaking from my experience but my oils have changed my life. I think every single human should have their hands on essential oils. I’ve read, researched and listened to “oil experts” (my cousin is my go to) but still have so much to learn.
If you were like I was last year- and have no idea what I’m talking about- please feel free to email me and I’m happy to share my journey. Also- several little sample bottles came with my starter kit and I would be happy to share one with you. Just shoot me an email at firstname.lastname@example.org. ***I have 5 extra little sample bottles so unfortunately have to limit to the first five emails I receive)***

What I’m Dreading
Sophia leaves for a fun filled trip to the beach and Disney soon. On a very selfish note, not experiencing her first trip to Disney World leaves a pit in my stomach and ache in my heart. I know she’s going to have the time of her life but if I’m being real here, a very large part of me has trouble letting go and letting her experience so many “firsts” without me. Please don’t take that the wrong way- because I’m so very grateful that she is loved by so many and has the opportunity to see Disney World with her brothers and family. Even with the best of circumstances, co parenting ain’t easy… 🙁
What I’m Working on
Helping sellers sell and buyers buy 🙂 Last week I was extremely honored to be part of selling the largest piece of real estate that I’ve been lucky enough to be part of. I’m humbled and blessed to know that sellers trust me with their real estate needs- often times the biggest sale of their lives and its truly an honor to assist. Real estate is a passion of mine and one of my favorite parts of this career is when clients turn into friends.
What I’m excited about:
Ohhh there’s so much to be excited about! No early AM alarm clocks, late summer nights, longer hours spent home with the girls, pool days, beach days and the hot sunshine to name a few. I read an article from a mom who wrote about how we only have eighteen summers with kiddos until they’re on to bigger things. I thought it was a great reminder to slow down and enjoy the little moments- because 18 summers just isn’t enough..
… by the way, welcome to the red neck yacht club 🙂
What I’m watching/reading:
The Bachelor!! I look forward to each season and then look forward to every Monday night.
To see what I read and currently reading- catch up here.
What I’m listening to:
I’ve had Jimmy Buffet on Pandora for the last week or so 🙂
What I’m wearing:
Did you get a chance to shop the Memorial weekend sale at Anthro? I posted this top to my Instagram the other day…
** update- there was a question on the back of this tunic’s length. Hopefully this pic below helps… keep in mind I’m very long waisted!
… and then found this cozy top on sale. The material is sooooo soft. Love it!
… and now a few things since I’m on the subject of Anthro. I purchased this dress about a month ago for wedding season. It is sooooo flattering!! I haven’t actually worn it yet but I would say the only downside is the lack of arm moment (aka wedding dancing might be a challenge)
.. and then this top below is one that caught my eye- and might just be one of my all time favorite purchases ever. It’s unusual, flattering and just really feminine. I wore it to Jorgia’s birthday dinner and have a feeling I’ll wear it time and time again…
What I’m doing this weekend:
We are having a little yard sale at Jason’s shop. Soooo… when I mentioned that I’m looking forward to no alarm clocks I suppose this morning is a little exception. Apparently yard salers are EARLY BIRDS. We’ll open shop at 7AM- come stop by and sift through our gently loved things:)
What else is new:
I’m oil obsessed. And I think you should give them a try too. You’ll have no regrets, I promise. They are changing my world.
BONUS Question: What’s your favorite vacation spot:
Anywhere that’s warm with an ocean view.
Thanks for reading today, friends! XO
