I’ll admit though, I realllllyyyy kinnndaaaa like Valentines Day 🙂 Any day to celebrate L-O-V-E is a win in my book. (And not just the romantic kind) I think the older I get, the more I like to celebrate special occasions- and not to mention, any holiday with kiddos makes for twice the fun 🙂
Today, I’m linking up with Andrea for her Show and Tell Tuesday series…
… and today’s topic: Your Loooveees.
I introduced my family in this post. 🙂 In short, I married my husband on June 7th, 2014. Jason was a handsome single guy that I met while out celebrating my birthday with my girlfriends. I didn’t get out much (I was a single mom at the time) and I knew from the moment I saw him we would marry. I swear. Fast forward a few years, and on our wedding day, we became a blended family of five: His girls are Jorgia and Jinger and mine is Sophia and since, we’ve added our crazy mutt, Falcor to the mix. Falcor once belonged to Jorgia and Jinger and long story short, he lives with all of us now 🙂
Now that we’ve got the reintroductions down, I thought I would share a few scenes from our Valentines weekend. Since we are a blended family with shared “parenting time,” this is our off week, so its just Jason and I at home to celebrate over some fancy dinner plans tonight.
I posted this pic to my Instagram over the weekend..
I hope they always stay besties. These girls share such a special bond and its a privilege to raise these two.
And then we stopped in a gas station for a few Gatorades and Slim Jims, because its exactly what they wanted.
We continued celebrating with a night out to eat pizza with Lili and Mumps.
Psssssst…. the girls are CRAZY about their new sweater wraps. Our weather has been so unpredictable lately and they’re cute, keep them warm and there’s NO itchiness. (And under $25) We cannot do itchy around here!!! Highly recommend if you live in a place with unpredictable February weather. Jinger’s is here and Sophia’s is here.
And then the girls camped out in our room, slept in, opened a few Valentines goodies, made a coconut milk + cinnamon latte, wore a pajama shirt to prove it, and indulged in pink frosted doughnuts…
You are my cup of tea!!
And then after all of that sugar… Jason dropped Jorgia and a few girlfriends to the mall and came home to take a little bike ride/ walk in our neighborhood.
Happy Valentines Day to YOU! Check out the fabulous bloggers I link up with here and enjoy your day 🙂 Go do something nice for yourself today! #selflove
Thanks for reading HB today. XOXO
